Key Responsibilities

Operate a DOT-regulated vehicle in compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation laws

Safely transport preschool students on assigned routes and schedules

Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

Maintain accurate DOT logs and required documentation

Ensure proper use of child safety restraints

Supervise students during loading and unloading

Communicate professionally with staff, parents, and school administration

Report safety concerns, incidents, or maintenance issues promptly

Required Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) endorsement and minimum N2 restriction or ability to obtain within 45 days of hire

• Must be at least 21 years of age

• Ability to meet requirements of Article 19-A DMV Motor Vehicle regulations

• Clean driving record in accordance with DOT standards for period of at least 3 years

• Reliable, punctual, and professional

• Experience transporting children or working in a school setting

Physical Requirements

• Ability to assist preschool students entering and exiting the vehicle

• Ability to sit for extended periods and safely operate vehicle controls
